Educator Turned Philanthropist
Victoria Ramadi identifies strongly with the role of an educator. For decades, she worked as a teacher. Although she is now retired, her passion for the process of teaching has not gone away. Now she views the whole world as her classroom!
Education programs and curricula that cater to a one size fits all approach are often ineffective, in the long run. That’s why retired teacher and lifelong educator, Victoria Ramadi is passionate about custom tailoring learning programs for individuals with unique needs. She achieves this goal by devoting her time to various education-centric charities and nonprofit organizations. For a number of years, she has been a proud supporter of CARE, Victoria Foundation and ProLiteracy. These programs work diligently to provide education opportunities to disadvantaged individuals across the globe. Specifically, CARE benefits women and young girls; Victoria Foundation provides children from low income families with high quality education; and ProLiteracy helps adults in need of furthering their literacy abilities.
French Language and Culture
Continuing with her love of education and learning, Victoria Ramadi thoroughly enjoys diving into new languages. She has achieved fluency in French, which has fueled her growing interest in French culture. She hopes that her fluency in the French language will help her to connect with other education charities across the globe.
Ramadi prefers to read literature and watch French films to better her grasp on French culture. While there is great value in simply communicating with others in French, immersing herself in the arts helps solidify her bond to the language. Her favorite French films are:
- Amélie (2001)
- Untouchable (2012)
- Cléo from 5 to 7 (1962)
- Pierrot le fou (1965)
Victoria Ramadi looks forward to intertwining her passions of education, philanthropy and language in the near future.
