Victoria Ramadi has always been passionate about helping others. An educator by identity and heart, she continues to serve her community as a teacher, even in her retirement. In particular, Ramadi focuses her philanthropic energy on empowering and educating disadvantaged women and youths.
CARE: Global Leader in Ending Poverty
When we take action, we have the power to save the lives of others. This idea is exemplary of the work that charitable organization, CARE works to achieve. It’s a notion that philanthropist and humanitarian, Victoria Ramadi supports immensely.
Disadvantaged women and young girls are the focus of the work that CARE completes, but it is their hope that this work will create a ripple effect that benefits entire communities. The organization’s goals are to save lives by defeating poverty and working diligently to achieve social justice. The core values of CARE are:
- Transformation
- Integrity
- Diversity
- Excellence
- Equality
These concepts serve as the foundation of this organization. Projects initiated by CARE include responding to natural disasters and emergencies, fighting world hunger, improving healthcare accessibility and educating communities. Previously a teacher by profession and forever an educator at heart, Victoria Ramadi gravitates towards CARE’s education programs and initiatives. Across the globe, the charity works to train teachers by providing them with tools and resources regarding health, nutrition and more in hopes of empowering communities through education.
In 2012, CARE’s education initiatives positively impacted over 2.3 million students in 48 different countries. This impact is all thanks to the individuals who have donated their time and personal earnings to the organization in hopes of making a genuine difference. As the saying goes: it takes a village — and CARE’s village is the entire world!
Ramadi has long supported the message and focus of this nonprofit organization. She looks forward to becoming directly involved as a volunteer in the near future.
