Victoria Ramadi has always found fulfillment in educating others. It is her belief that education and knowledge are sources of power. When individuals are provided with resources to further their education, they are able to make positive and effective changes in their lives and the lives of others. For decades, Ramadi enjoyed a career as a teacher. Although she is now in her retirement, her passion for education has not wavered. More than just a profession, being an educator is an integral part of Ramadi’s identity — it is an inherent part of who she is and what she stands for.
Teaching others is incredibly fulfilling to Victoria Ramadi. For one, she has always enjoyed the process of learning. She believes that when we learn about new things, we strengthen our minds, which adds value and substance to our lives. Being a part of the experience for other people is a rewarding journey. Even in her retirement, Ramadi works hard to teach others new lessons whenever she has the chance. She also maintains her own personal dedication to lifelong learning. In particular, Ramadi enjoys studying languages and keeping up with current events in the world.
ProLiteracy
Despite the fact that she is now retired from her career as a teacher, Victoria Ramadi is still passionate about educating others. That’s why she now supports local and global initiatives that help to inspire positive change through education. When most people think about education-related charities and nonprofit organizations, they often assume that the focus of these initiatives is to empower youths. While she does support organizations that complete such work, Ramadi is particularly inspired by programs that help to educate disadvantaged adults. One of her favorite education initiatives is ProLiteracy. Founded in 1930 by Dr. Frank C. Laubach, ProLiteracy is a national network that helps adults pursue their passions and ambitions by furthering their literacy abilities. The organization — and Victoria Ramadi — believes that a lack of literacy poses a barrier between quality living conditions and individuals. By teaching adults how to develop their literacy abilities, ProLiteracy makes a sustainable change in the lives of others!
